Adrian "The Hunter" Pang Interview
How long have you been fighting?
I have been fighting professionaly now for around 10 years.
Why do you fight?
I fight because I like the competition and to be able to test my skill level against other opponents whom I am not familiar with. There is no other feeling that can match this type of competition.
You're defending your title for the first time - how important is this match?
This match is important but no more than any other. I take each opponent seriously and treat them respectfully. I will be looking to defend my CFC title belt and keep it.
What do you know about and how have you prepared for your opponent?
I know my opponent is a very skilled and accomplished fighter. At this level everyone has a good game and set of skills. I have prepared similar to most of my fights and worked on some strategies to implement at different times.
How do you see this fight going?
I have never been one to predict the outcome of a fight. It's MMA and anything can happen. It is a 5x5 min round fight and my last title fight went the full distance. So I think that regardless of the result when I fight everyone gets their monies worth. I think this fight will be no different when we both collide in the centre of the cage.
Is there anyone you would like to thank?
Many people I would like to thank but cutting it short. To my Coach Dan Higgins, manager Tony Green, trainers Steve Compton, Nugget and Ian Mellor. Also all my training partners and brother that have worked tirelessly in the gym helping me prep for this fight. My partner Melina for all her help with looking after me through dieting and my abscence from home throughout all my training and looking after our son with no complaint. Lastly my family for all their support in my career thus far. My sponsors Fairtex, Australian Sports Nutrition, Tapout, Sunstand and All Type Cabinets.
Thank you to all the MMA supporters out there that have supported the sport and me throughout my career.
